Restart your PC and check if the problem is solved.

6) Disable Firewall

Sometimes Firewall may interfere with your game and cause Fortnite to get stuck on the connecting screen.

So, disable the Firewall temporarily and this should fix the problem. If you are using any other antivirus program, make sure to disable that too.

To disable Windows Defender Firewall, check the steps as given:

  • Enter Windows Defender Firewall in the Windows search box and select the topmost option.
  • Click on the Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off option.

  • Next click on the radio buttons for Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (not recommended) options. Make sure to click on both the buttons for Private and Public network settings.

Turn on your Firewall protection later as your device is vulnerable to threats after disabling the antivirus or Firewall.
