  • From between the two apps, tap on the Controller from the middle of the vertical bar. It is on the black line between the two apps.
  • Now drag the Controller to the screen in the direction of the app you want to close.

2) Merge All The Tabs Into A Single One

If you have opened two Safari Windows in Split view mode, merge all the tabs into a single tab or close the tabs.

To do that, touch & hold the Windows button and select Merger All Windows.

To close the tabs, tap on the cross (X) or close button to close each tab or tap on Close All Tabs.

3) Remove A Floating App

You can remove a floating app from the iPad screen following the methods described below:

  • Tap on the app Controller from the top of the floating app window.
  • Swipe the floating app from left to right to remove it from the screen.

4) Close Split Screen On iPad In Settings

You can apply this step if you are using iPad version older than iPadOS 15. The later versions lack the ability within Settings.
