Fix 1: Check Your Game File

Check if the game file is corrupted or broken. Try installing the latest version of the game.

Fix 2: Run SFC scan

If your system files are corrupted, then you will have a problem while installing games.

So, run an SFC scan to check your windows system files.

Follow the process to do so:

  • Go to the search menu and enter CMD. Select Command Prompt and Run as administrator to open an elevated command prompt.


  • Enter the following command and press the enter key:
sfc /scannow


  • Let the scan get completed and then restart your computer.
  • Now try installing your game and if you still find Isdone.dll Codex corrupted, go to the next step.

Fix 3: Run DISM & Chkdsk

If SFC could not fix the issue, run Deployment Image & Servicing management scan to repair the corrupted Windows image. If that doesn’t work, run the chkdsk scan, which will check for corruption in the memory.

  • Open an Elevated Command Prompt and enter
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

  • If you receive similar error messages then run chkdsk C: /f /r /x and press the Enter button on your keyboard. Here C represents the letter for your drive, so you may replace it accordingly.

Fix 4: Increase Windows Virtual Memory

As I have stated earlier if you do not have enough system memory then you will receive Isdone.dll error message. So, increasing the Page File or Virtual memory can fix the problem.

Windows stores data in the Page file when there is not enough space in RAM. Now follow the process mentioned below o increase the virtual memory:

  • Open Run utility by pressing Win+R hotkeys on your keyboard.
  • Enter sysdm.cpl in the command box and press the Enter button to get into the System Properties.


  • Select the Advanced tab from your System Properties window and in the performance section, click on the Settings option.


  • Now select the Advanced tab and then from the Virtual Memory section click on the Change button.


  • From the Virtual memory window, first, uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers option and then click on the radio button attached to customize size.


  • Set the maximum value twice your RAM’s storage and click on the Set button.

In most cases, the initial size (MB) that works is 400 and the maximum size (MB) is 3000.

  • After finishing the above steps restart your PC and delete the temporary data. From the system to clean space.

For doing so follow the steps:

  • Open Run dialog box and enter %temp%. Press the Enter key to run the command.


  • Delete all the files you find inside the folder and check if you are still getting Codex Isdone.Dll Error.

Fix 5: Register the unArc.dll file

If you are receiving Unarc.Dll Error Code 7 while installing your app or game, then register the unArc.dll file and check if this helps.

  • Go to the location of your unArc file from:


  • Now rename the file to unArc_bak.dll.
  • From some other computer copy the unArc file and paste this to your previous location of the file.
  • After finishing the above step, press Win+X and select Windows Power Shell (Admin).


  • For 32bit, enter:
regsvr32 %systemroot%\System32\unarc.dll


Press the Enter button to run the command.

  • For 64bit system, enter:
regsvr32 %systemroot%\SysWOW64\unarc.dll

Give your Computer a fresh restart and check if you are getting any further errors.

The new file will get registered successfully.
