1) Close All LOL Processes Using Task Manager

When you find Patcher Kernel is not working, first of all, close all the running LOL processes using Windows Task Manager and then open it again.

To do that, follow the steps given below:

  • Right-click on the Taskbar and select the Task Manager option.


  • From the processes tab locate all the running processes related to League Of Legends.
  • Right-click on each process, and select End task.


Now try to open the game again and see if it opens without any problem . If you cannot open the game, then go to the next solution.

2) Allow Administrative Privileges 

Some of the elements of LoL may require administrative permissions to open.

So, if you see LoL Patch Kernel not working, open the game as an administrator.

When you allow administrative privileges to a program, it often opens without any issues.

Now, run the program as an administrator and this should solve the problem.

Follow the steps to do so:

  • Right-click on the League of Legends game shortcut and choose the Run as Administrator option.

3) Remove The LOL Game Patch Files

Sometimes the game patches may be corrupted and cause the error. So, remove the game patch and re-download it.

  • Right-click on the LoL shortcut and click on the Open file location.


  • Locate the RADS folder and navigate to the following path:
projects> lol_air_client> releases
  • Now inside the releases folder, find the latest folder. From this folder, delete the S_OK and releasemanifest files.


  • Open the Deploy folder and from here, delete , logs, META-INF, LolCient.exe. Restart your system.
