  • Go to the Review tab from the ribbon and click on the drop-down menu for the All Markup option in the Tracking section.
  • Next, click on No Markup option.


Word will hide all the markups in the document, as shown in the picture below.


To see the Mark up again, click on the All Markup option, and Word will show the marked-up areas and comments.

2) Accept Or Reject Changes In A MS Word Document

If you are the author of the original Word document where other team members have commented, marked up, or made changes, you can accept or reject them.

To do so, follow the given steps:

  • Select the markup area in the Word document.

If you want to accept the changes made, click on Show markup from the Tracking section.


  • Check all the items from the menu.


  • Click on the Accept option under the Changes section.
  • Select Accept all changes. If you no longer want to track your document changes, click on the Accept all and Stop tracking option.

You will no longer see the markup notations in your word document.

  • Select Reject All Changes or Reject All Changes and Stop Tracking option.


Microsoft will delete all the changes made to the document immediately after this.
