Disabling Windows Firewall Protection can be an effective measure to resolve the issue.

  • Go to the Start Menu and type Windows Defender Firewall.
  • Select Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off option.

  • Run the game now and check if it is having further issues.
  • If your game runs without freezing, then turn on Windows Defender Firewall and allow this game through it.

After the process, run your game. If you are using any third-party anti-virus like Avast or AVG, try disabling them. If the problem persists, then go to our next solution.

Fix 6: Reinstall The Game 

If none of the above processes could help you when Saints Row 3 is crashing, reinstall the game.
