Microsoft recently launched the Windows 10 21H2 build 19044.1202 to the Release Preview Channel. After the update of Windows 11 was given to Windows Insiders, the insiders who didn’t have a compatible PC for Windows 11 were moved to the Release Preview Channel, where the latest updates for Windows will be provided via the “Seeker” experience in Windows update.
These updates are only for Insiders who were moved to the Release Preview Channel from the Beta channel. This update brings some security enhancements and some bug patches.
What Was Added In The 21H2 Update?
With the introduction of Windows 11, it doesn’t mean that Microsoft will abandon the 1.3 billion monthly users of Windows 10. Quite the contrary as they have just released the 21H2 feature update for the Insiders in the Release Preview Channel.
With the 21H2 update, we can see some security improvements and bug fixes. WPA3 H2E standards is now supported for enhanced Wi-Fi security.
Also, Cloud Trust, which is a new deployment method for Windows Hello for Business was introduced. It will add support for simplified passwordless deployments and achieve a deploy to run state within a few minutes for Windows Hello for Business.
The 21H2 feature update will have a fast installation experience for users with devices running 2004 or later version of Windows 10.
Also, the issue that causes the Windows Update settings page to stop responding after downloading an optional update was fixed with this update.
